Still kickin

So... Yes, I am still alive.  I go 900mph and hardly see myself.  Student teaching, taking classes, state assessments, babysitting, ministry... it's busy.  BUT I have a GREAT God, and He is taking great care of me of course.  I am privileged to be doing the things I do, and as long as I am in God's will, I have peace and joy!  I LOVE Him! 

And I love all of you that I know of that read this not so well kept blog ;-)

Too much to do

No disasters today... student taught... went to nanny... just got home.  I am tired and hungry.  About to do two quick posts for school and then crash!

Good Friends

No major disaster this morning- PTL!

School went well.  Ran some errands... lost my debit card... smh...

Came home... heard I need new tires and brake work... roar

Worked on an online workshop i have to do for school which makes me think only morons go to my school... really I think i expect more of the second graders I work with!

BUT

Then I got to skype with my friend Kara for over 2 hours, which totally made up for all the "poo" this week.  She's amazing and I am blessed to call her my friend!  We talked about all kinds of stuff and laughed a lot.  I needed that conversation.  Now to bed :-)

Really?!?!?

So, yesterday on day one of student teaching I was puking... day 2 I go to leave the house and MY CAR WOULDNT START...

FOR REAL?!?!?!

Anywhose, God loves me and He put great people around me who took great care of me... so, everything still went pretty well.

First Day of OFFICIAL Student Teaching

So this morning I got up at 4:55am

did devotional

went running, did push ups, situps, crunches, lunges, jumping jacks, jump rope, overhead weights, etc.

took a shower and started getting ready

BUT in the shower started getting nauseas... then started throwing up.... what a way to start the day...

I was still on time and the day went well despite its ill beginnings

And now I am trying to make it to my 8pm bedtime goal.

Sunday Sunday Sunday

Today I taught in the K3 class.  We had 15 kids, which is quite a few kiddos for our class.  It was fun, kinda scrambled, but good.  I love kids.  (In case you guys didn't know ;-)

Anywhos- after that I ran an errand... came to the house... ate a bit of PEACH COBBLER!!!  (My favorite dessert!)

Then I headed out to Yorba Linda to meet a friend for lunch at Olive Garden.  It was good- good food and even better friendship!

Then... came to the house... been trying to clean, organize, and prep for student teaching.  I start TOMORROW!!!

SO--- I am now about to watch a video from a missionary from Brazil who is here at the house, then I am off to bed.

Hey hey hey!
Today was our church picnic.  It was fun, but WAY TOO HOT!!!

I mostly chilled and played dominoes which was fun!

Then went by the post office, walmart, and to get gas.

Came home, chatted with Pastor, then got cleaned up, got a few odd and end things done, now I am in bed, bout to crash.

It's FRIDAY!!!

I went to the school this morning and hung in Elaine's second grade class again.  I left there at about 11:30am, came home, made lunch...

then I went back out into the ridiculous heat to wait to pick up Zac.  I took him home to his dad, then went and got his sisters. 

After leaving their house and returning home, I was pretty soaked with sweat- I know you all really wanted to know that... so i literally walked in the house, took my jeans off, put shorts on, and jumped in the pool with my clothes on.  I was expecting the pool to be cold as it is usually too cold to swim... but it wasn't :-(  I stayed in maybe 5-10 minutes and I was done. 

I tried to get some organization and paperwork done, but wasn't very motivated and there were people at the house.  It's all good though. 

I am now tired and goin to bed!

Today was the second day of the school year.  I switched things up and went with the 5th/6th combo class for the morning and then joined the 2nd grade class for the afternoon.  Mrs. Reed turned me loose with the 5th and 6th graders for their reading lessons.  It was fun.

It is HOT today!  Alli texted me after school and asked if I could give her a ride home cause it was too hot to walk!  Which is ABSOLUTELY was.

Then I went and picked up my teenage friend Shannon.  We went to Wendy's, then we went to see the movie Hope Springs.  The movie was cute... had some embarrissingly inappropriate scenes though. 

Then we went back to Shannon's house and goofed off with her mom.  While I was in the house, I had left my cell phone in my car.  When I came out, I had missed a call from Elaine, one of my friends who lives in Asia.  I just met her in July, but we were instant friends, and hearing her voice makes me extremely happy!  So I hapily listened to her voicemail, then called her back.  Sure enough, she answered!  It was GREAT getting to talk to her!  She is AMAZING!!!  I LOVE her dearly!!! 

Now for bed.  Gotta go to the school again tomorrow.

New Beginnings

Long time no see....

I know I know... it's all MY own fault... here's an interesting fact about myself.  Once I get behind on something, I get really intimidated about going back to it... which just causes me to get more behind... and more intimidated... and on and on and on...

I REALLY need to work on this though, cause there are too many things that this negatively affects in my life.  So, for today, here goes with getting back to the blog.

MUCH has happened in the two months since I've blogged!!!  Mainly, a 3 week trip to Asia, which was PHE-NOM-IN-AL!!!  I will try my best to blog some about that this weekend. 

For today, it was the first day of school for our school district... I start student teaching on Monday, so I spent the morning with Mrs. Lopez in a second grade classroom, and the afternoon with Mrs. Reed in her 5th/6th combo class. 

Highlights of the day:

School started at 8:45am.  At 9:35am (YES, less than an hour into the first day of school) we had an earthquake.  Pretty fun and funny and what a way to start the year.

I was wearing a purple striped shirt.  A second grade girl said, "I like your shirt!"  To which I of course replied. "Thank you!"  She then said, "My grandma has one just like it."  Note to self- burn shirt!

Another productive day

Today was another productive day.

Church was good!

I spent time with a sweet youth!

And then got a lil business done as well as a workout in.

Now, I am tired and think I am actually gonna crash at 10pm...

Productivity is Fabulous

Today I went to a breakfast meeting for the ministry team at my church.  Meeting went well.

Then I had planned to be in front of Walmart for 8 hours selling raffle tickets to raise funds for my upcoming trip to Asia.  BUT my application has not yet been approved, so instead I got some things marked off my to do list and some much needed organization done.

I also worked out.  I'm not sure if I mentioned, but I am working with a nutritionist to get healthy and in shape.  I really feel good!  We started our journey 2 1/2 weeks ago, and I think things are going very well!  I am blessed by her spirit and her service!!!  On to feeling great and hopefully looking great as well! 

Now for a bit of reading and some SLLEEEEEEEPPP!!!

TGIF

Today was a good day...

went for a run
worked on stuff for my class tonight
did a few other random things
went to Walmart and the post office
went to BOSS class- class went very well

Then home to do a bit of organizing, now to crash! 

Full but Pooped

Yesterday and today have been full and good, but I'm wiped!  Goodnight and God bless!!!

She's BACK

I know, I know- it has been over two weeks... at least I keep getting back on the horse though right?!?!?  Doesn't that count for something?!?!?

If you've wondered why you haven't really seen me on, don't worry, I wonder why I haven't seen me lately either.

Keeping the kiddos I am privileged to watch every other week
Subbing when I can
Still doing BOSS class, though it is winding down and I am now starting to work on graduation
Teaching the K-3 class 2-5 Sunday's a month
Finishing up my observation hours and observation log for school
Getting ready to student teach in the fall
Working with a nutritionist to get healthy
Trying to spend time with people in the midst of the business

I'm sure I left out a couple of things... but you get the point :-)

Happy Mother's Day

This has been a good weekend!

Yesterday started with a Mother's Day breakfast given by my God-twins parents.  It was beautiful and yummy!

And of course I enjoyed every moment with the Gian Paul and Jaylisse and their family!!!

Then I went with the Dunn family to see the Avengers.  I have not seen any of the other comic movies, but I really liked the movie!!!

After that I crawled through traffic, ran a few errands, came home, did laundry, prepped my students ministry lesson for this morning, then crashed.

Today I got up, went and taught K-3 student ministry, then came home to organize and get some stuff done.  I talked to my mom and my granny- great ladies!  I miss em LOTS!

Hope you all had a great weekend as well!  I am gonna go to bed soon, cause I have a long day ahead tomorrow to begin a long week.

Worn Out

I have been doing way too much, and I have not been taking care of myself.  If this continues, I will not live to a ripe old age!

On another note, being the task oriented person that I am, it is easy for me to overlook people as I go about my to do list.

Lately God has been breaking me for people.  In multiple ways.  I am so grateful and humble for the people God has allowed in my life.  I know some AMAZING people!

Here's to working harder on taking care of myself and enjoying people that on my to do list.

Not that I can avoid it- too much to do ;-)

It's all Good

Today had some ups and some downs and some crazy twists and turns, but ended on a great note- talking and giggling with my friend Kara via Skype.  Can't wait to see her and her daughter in a couple of months!!!

I realized tonight after Skyping how great God answered one of my prayers... I've been praying for a while... like for 3 years for a close friend that was approximately my age and in my stage of life that I could enjoy life with... in the past couple of months Kara and I have reconnected and I met a great new friend at church that I've been spending time with.

God is GOOD!!!

So many things I can think of to write about... but really I just want to go to bed :-)

2 months from today I leave for Asia!!!  I am SO excited!!!

Today I spent the day with 4 great kids... played wii, worked on a puzzle, played scattegories, went to Target, etc.

The I came home and caught up on my reflections for my classroom observation log... I was WAY behind. 

Now I am ready to hit my pillow!

Still SO much to do and so little time!

Will I ever catch up???
